## 6. Master Matrix of Conflicting Shastric Rules (విరుద్ధ నియమాలు & సిద్ధాంత నిర్ణయం)

This section systematically identifies all canonical disagreements between classical treatises and details the algorithmic resolution (*Siddhānta Nirṇaya*) applied by the Gurusthan Engine:

| Conflict ID | Issue / Topic | Tradition A (Northern Standard) | Tradition B (Southern Standard) | Tradition C (Dharmashastras) | Algorithmic Decision Rule in Engine | User Toggle / Parameter |
|:---|:---|:---|:---|:---|:---|:---|
| **CONF-01** | **Janma Nakshatra for Marriage** | **[B01] Muhūrta Cintāmaṇi:** Strictly prohibits marriage in the Janma Nakshatra of bride or groom (*"जन्मर्क्षे न विवाहः स्यात्"*). | **[B02] Muhūrta Darpaṇam & [B05] Kālaprakāśikā:** Permits Janma Nakshatra in **2nd or 3rd Paryāya** (stars 10 and 19) if Moon is aspected by Jupiter, or if both have same star with different Padas. | **[B07] Nirṇayasindhu:** Forbids for firstborns; allows in 2nd cycle if bride and groom stars are friendly. | **Engine Default:** Follows [B02] Southern Canon: Permissible in 2nd/3rd Paryaya with score dock (-15 pts); strictly forbidden in 1st Paryaya (-40 pts). | Selectable via Regional Tradition Setting |
| **CONF-02** | **Caitra Māsa for Marriage** | **[B01] & [B04]:** Strictly prohibits Caitra (*"मधौ शोककरी"* — Chaitra causes grief and sorrow). | **[B02] & Andhra Jyotisha Parampara:** Highly approves Caitra after Sun enters Aries (**Meṣa Saṅkrānti / Saura Caitra**), especially Shukla Paksha. | **[B07] Nirṇayasindhu:** Prohibits Chaitra for marriage, but permits after Mesha transit for specific regions south of Vindhyas. | **Engine Default:** Permits marriage in Chaitra **only after Meṣa Saṅkrānti** (Solar Aries). | **CONF-03** | **Godhūli Muhūrta Efficacy** | **[B01] 6.77 & [B04]:** Supreme praise: Godhuli (sunset $\pm 24$ mins) destroys millions of doshas, including Tithi, Vara, Nakshatra, Yoga, and Kartari flaws! | **[B05] Ch. 14 & [B02]:** Strictly restricts Godhuli. Godhuli does **NOT** destroy Jamitra dosha, does **NOT** destroy 8th house Mars/Sun, and is prohibited in South India if Shuddha Lagna is available. | **[B08] Dharmasindhu:** Treats Godhuli as an *Āpat-Kāla* (emergency concession) when no pure daytime lagna can be found. | **Engine Default:** Evaluates Godhuli as a **Secondary Concession (Grade B)** with warning. It never overrides an unmitigated 8th house Mars or Jamitra dosha. | Visual "Godhuli Window" pill with advisory note |
| **CONF-04** | **Sun in Pisces (Mīna) for Gṛhapraveśa** | **[B01] 10.1:** Sun in Pisces (Mīna) is categorized as auspicious for housewarming. | **[B05] Ch. 28 & [B02]:** Strictly prohibits Sun in Pisces for *Apūrva* (new house) Gṛhapraveśa (*"मीने गृहप्रवेशे तु धनहानिः प्रजायते"*). Allowed only for renovated (*Jīrṇa*) homes. | **[B08] Dharmasindhu:** Forbids for new constructions; allows for temporary shelters and repairs. | **Engine Default:** Prohibits Sun in Pisces for new houses (*Apūrva* entry); permits for *Sapūrva* / *Jīrṇa* with clear notation. | Mode dropdown (New House vs Existing House) |
| **CONF-05** | **Guru & Śukra Moudhya (Balya/Vriddha duration)** | **[B01] 2.45:** Assigns **3 days** before and 3 days after combustion as Balya (infancy) and Vriddha (senility). | **[B02] & [B05]:** Assigns **7 days** before and 7 days after for both Jupiter and Venus across South India. | **[B07] & [B08]:** Shukra requires 7 days (East rise) or 10 days (West rise); Guru requires 15 days in strict view, 7 days in general. | **Engine Default:** Implements the **7-Day Standard** ([B02]/[B07]) as the safety boundary for zero-compromise auspicious elections. | High-precision solar proximity calculation |

Two Jyeshthas are permissible. | **[B07] Nirṇayasindhu:** Two Jyeshthas permitted in absence of alternative; three Jyeshthas strictly fatal. | **Engine Default:** Strictly blocks Three Jyeshthas. Flags Two Jyeshthas with a yellow advisory warning. | Seeker profile input tracks firstborn status |

## 7. Dosha Parihāra & Exemption Hierarchy (దోష పరిహార క్రమము)

Classical electional astrology provides a precise hierarchical neutralization framework (*Parihāra / Doṣa-Bhaṅga*):

```
                       [ SUPREME CANCELER: JUPITER IN LAGNA ]
                       Nullifies 100,000 doshas ([B04] Narayana Daivajna)
                                        │
                                        ▼
                       [ VENUS IN KENDRA / 4TH / 10TH ]
                       Nullifies 50,000 doshas; destroys Kartari flaws
                                        │
                                        ▼
                       [ MERCURY IN KENDRA / 1ST / 7TH ]
                       Nullifies 10,000 doshas; enhances trade/learning
                                        │
                                        ▼
                       [ FULL MOON IN 10TH / 11TH HOUSE ]
                       Imparts Paksha Bala, neutralizing minor Tithi/Vara flaws
                                        │
                                        ▼
                       [ VARGOTTAMA LAGNA & PUSHKARAMSHA ]
                       Grants structural immunity against Weekday & Karana flaws
```

1. **Jupiter in Lagna (లగ్నంలో గురుడు):**
   - *"हन्ति सर्वाणि दोषाणि लग्नस्थोऽपि बृहस्पतिः । एकादशगतो वापि सहस्रं हन्ति तत्क्षणात् ॥"* ([B04] 6.2).
   - If Jupiter occupies the Ascendant (especially in Cancer, Sagittarius, or Pisces), it cancels all structural doshas except unmitigated Ashtama Chandra.
2. **Venus in Kendra (కేంద్రంలో శుక్రుడు):**
   - Venus in 1, 4, 7, 10 or exalted in Pisces cancels Kartari dosha and softens Jamitra flaws.
3. **Upachaya Malefics (ఉపచయ స్థానాలలో పాపులు):**
   - Malefics (Sun, Mars, Saturn, Rahu) residing in 3, 6, 11 destroy obstacles (*"त्रिषडेकादशे पापाः सर्वे कार्यप्रसाधकाः"*).
4. **Pushkarāṁśa & Vargottama Immunity:**
   - When the election Lagna falls in its Pushkara Navamsha or Vargottama sign, it overrides ordinary Dinadoshas (Yamaghanta, Gulika, Kulika).

## 8. Algorithmic Scoring & Weight Distribution Specification

The Gurusthan Electional Engine synthesizes all universal, individual, event, and micro-timing rules into a single deterministic score $S \in [5.0, 100.0]$:

$$S = w_{\text{tara}} \cdot S_{\text{tara}} + w_{\text{chandra}} \cdot S_{\text{chandra}} + w_{\text{event}} \cdot S_{\text{event}} + \Delta_{\text{gowri}} + \Delta_{\text{bhargava}} + \Delta_{\text{parihara}} - \sum \text{Penalty}_{\text{doshas}}$$

- **Normalized Weights:**
  - $w_{\text{tara}} = 0.30$ (Tarabala)
  - $w_{\text{chandra}} = 0.30$ (Chandrabala)
  - $w_{\text{event}} = 0.40$ (Conformity to Event Nakshatra, Tithi, Vara, and House requirements)
- **Micro-Timing Offsets:**
  - $\Delta_{\text{gowri}} \in [-18, +15]$ (5 auspicious vs 3 inauspicious Gowri kalams)
  - $\Delta_{\text{bhargava}} \in [-15, +12]$ (Auspicious vs Inauspicious 24-minute Bhargava segments)
- **Hard Shastric Caps (Strict Boundaries):**
  - **Ashtama Chandra:** If transit Moon is in 8th house from natal Moon, $S$ is strictly capped at **25.0** (Grade D / Avoid) without exception for Vivaha and Grihapravesha.
  - **Naidhana Tara ($T=7$):** Capped at **25.0** (Grade D / Avoid).
  - **Vishti (Bhadra) in Earth:** $-35.0$ penalty.
  - **Rikta Tithi (4, 9, 14):** $-30.0$ penalty for sacred rites.
- **Grading Scale:**
  - **Grade A+ (Optimal / Highly Auspicious):** $S \ge 85.0$
  - **Grade A (Suitable / Auspicious):** $70.0 \le S < 85.0$
  - **Grade B (Moderate / Acceptable):** $55.0 \le S < 70.0$
  - **Grade D (Inauspicious / Avoid):** $S < 55.0$
